# Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

Yes. You can cancel or reschedule a booking through the app.

To cancel:

1. Go to your upcoming bookings
2. Select the booking
3. Tap Cancel booking

Refund policy based on notice given:

- More than 48 hours notice: full refund of the sitter rate
- 12 to 48 hours notice: 50% refund of the sitter rate
- Less than 12 hours notice: no refund of the sitter rate

The service fee (20%) is non-refundable in all cases.

To reschedule: contact us at support@thevillageco.nz and we will work with your sitter to find a new time. Rescheduling with more than 48 hours notice does not incur a fee.
