You choose your own hourly rate when you set up your profile. You can change it at any time.
How to set your rate:
- Log in to app.thevillageco.nz
- Go to your profile
- Find the Rate section
- Enter your hourly rate
- Save
What rate should I charge?
Rates on The Village Co typically range from $20 to $30 per hour. Consider:
- Your experience level and qualifications
- The ages of children you care for (younger children and infants often command higher rates)
- Whether you offer additional services like overnight care or nannying
Tips:
- Start at a rate that feels fair for your experience
- You can increase your rate as you build reviews and a track record
- Very high rates may reduce the number of families you match with, especially when starting out
