What does Village Sitter Insurance cover?
Every booking made through The Village Co is covered by $2 million public liability insurance — Village Sitter Insurance.
What it covers:
- Accidental injury to a child in the sitter's care
- Accidental property damage caused by the sitter
- Public liability incidents during the booking
What it does not cover:
- Pre-existing medical conditions or illnesses unrelated to the booking
- Intentional acts
- Incidents outside the confirmed booking window
Coverage applies automatically to every confirmed booking. You do not need to do anything to activate it.
If an incident occurs during a booking, contact us immediately at support@thevillageco.nz or 07 807 9114. Do not wait until after the booking.
