What happens if a parent cancels?

If a parent cancels your booking, what you receive depends on how much notice they gave.

Payment based on parent's notice:

  • Less than 12 hours notice: you receive 100% of your booking amount
  • 12 to 48 hours notice: you receive 50% of your booking amount
  • More than 48 hours notice: no payment for that booking

How it works:
Payment is processed automatically based on the cancellation time. You do not need to do anything. If a parent cancels, you will receive a notification and the relevant payment (if applicable) will be released to your Stripe account on the normal payment schedule.

Why the policy is structured this way:
Last-minute cancellations by parents affect your ability to take other bookings. The compensation for short-notice cancellations reflects this. The Village Co considers late cancellations seriously and repeated late cancellations by parents may result in a warning on their account.
