As two mums who know the challenges of balancing work, family, and finding reliable childcare, we set out to build a platform that’s more than just a service, it’s a Village.   ### 1. Verified Connections We prioritise trusted connections within our community. We get to know you as well as all our sitters on the platform so when we connect you we look at more than just 'who's available' but 'who's right'. ### 2. Commitment to Safety Safety is our cornerstone. We meet every parent and babysitter personally, check IDs, and conduct background checks. We also provide ongoing checks, training and support to our babysitters, ensuring they’re well-prepared, equipped, and confident in their roles. This commitment means parents can feel assured that their children are in safe, trustworthy hands. ### 3. Community-Centered Care The Village Co. isn’t just about bookings; it’s about creating real relationships. We help families build a circle of sitters who understand their needs, values, and preferences, fostering a supportive network that feels like a community rather than a transaction.     ### 4. Championing Positive Experiences Every experience matters. We support and empower our babysitters and families through a feedback system, monthly virtual gatherings, and ongoing improvements to our platform based on your input. This ensures continuous growth, satisfaction, and a positive, trusted environment for all.     **Tags:** [Parents](https://thevillageco.nz/the-village-parents-journal/tag/parents) Post by [The Village Co.](https://thevillageco.nz/the-village-parents-journal/author/the-village-co-) Dec 8, 2025, 1:15:07 PM ### Related Articles ##### [![Payment Made Easy: How to Pay Sitters Through The Village Co.](https://thevillageco.nz/hubfs/99c7ec3b2c406cff7fe055878a3c7f5bfc917f.avif) Parents • Dec 8, 2025, 1:26:20 PM Payment Made Easy: How to Pay Sitters Through The Village Co. 0 min read](https://thevillageco.nz/the-village-parents-journal/payment-made-easy-how-to-pay-sitters-through-the-village-co) ##### [![Communication is Key: How to Connect with Your Babysitter](https://thevillageco.nz/hubfs/431bb61680afe1e25d97162e6a0961c895a0e4.avif) Parents • Dec 8, 2025, 1:24:37 PM Communication is Key: How to Connect with Your Babysitter 0 min read](https://thevillageco.nz/the-village-parents-journal/communication-is-key-how-to-connect-with-your-babysitter) ##### [![Trust and Safety: How The Village Co.
