Our Minimum Requirements
✔️ Age & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in New Zealand.
✔️ Experience with Children
We’re looking for sitters who are confident, capable, and calm under pressure.
This could include:
Babysitting experience
Nannying
Working in childcare or education
Experience caring for younger siblings
You don’t need to be a professional nanny — but you do need to know what you’re doing.
✔️ Police Vetting (Required)
All sitters must complete a police check before being approved.
This is non-negotiable — safety and trust are everything here.
✔️ References
You’ll need to provide at least one reference from someone who can vouch for your experience with children.
✔️ First Aid (Preferred)
A current first aid certificate is highly recommended.
(Not essential — but it will absolutely strengthen your profile.)
✔️ Reliability
Parents are trusting you with the most important people in their world.
