Am I covered by insurance?

Yes. Every booking you complete through The Village Co is covered by $2 million public liability insurance — Village Sitter Insurance.

What this means for you:

• You are protected if a child is accidentally injured in your care
• You are protected if property is accidentally damaged during a booking
• Cover applies automatically to every confirmed booking through the platform

What it does not cover:

• Incidents that happen outside a confirmed booking
• Intentional acts
• Your personal belongings

If an incident occurs:

1. Ensure everyone is safe (call 111 if needed)
2. Contact us immediately at support@thevillageco.nz or 07 807 9114
3. Do not wait until after the booking to report

Reporting an incident early means we can support you properly and ensure the insurance record is correct.
